BoatSitterUS connects renters, owners, captains, and brokers for yacht and boat charters. We do not own or operate vessels; all charters are managed by independent third parties.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements.

3. Account Registration

An account is required to book, list boats, or register as a captain/broker. Users are responsible for login security and account activity.

4. Bookings and Payments

All bookings and payments are processed via Stripe. Guests pay upfront (including taxes, fees, deposits), and Owners/Captains receive payouts after completed charters. Service fees may apply.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Policies vary per vessel and are displayed on listings. BoatSitterUS may allow rescheduling/refunds in unsafe weather or force majeure events.

6. Responsibility and Liability

BoatSitterUS acts only as an intermediary. Owners/Captains are responsible for vessel condition, operation, and safety. BoatSitterUS is not liable for damages, injuries, or listing accuracy.

7. Renter Responsibilities

Guests must arrive on time, follow rules, respect capacity limits, avoid illegal activity, and comply with Captain/Crew instructions. Violations may result in charter termination without refund.

8. Owner and Captain Responsibilities

Owners/Captains must provide accurate listings, meet safety/insurance standards, supply licensed captains where required, and ensure a professional, safe experience.

9. Insurance

Owners must carry valid vessel insurance for charter use. Captains are encouraged to maintain professional liability insurance. BoatSitterUS is not liable for inadequate coverage.

10. Dispute Resolution

BoatSitterUS may mediate disputes but is not obligated to resolve or be held liable for outcomes.

11. Prohibited Activities

Users must not post false info, bypass platform fees, engage in unlawful behavior, or solicit/poach members outside the platform.

12. Platform Modifications

BoatSitterUS may update, suspend, or discontinue services at any time. Continued use implies acceptance of revised terms.

13. Termination

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations, unsafe behavior, or harmful conduct.

14. Limitation of Liability

BoatSitterUS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages from platform use or charters.

15. Governing Law
