A great boat day starts with good prep. Whether you’re planning a 4-hour cruise or a full-day adventure, knowing what to bring—and what we provide—makes for a smoother experience all around.
Here’s your go-to checklist for any BoatSitterUS charter.
What You Should Bring
- Sunscreen (reef-safe preferred)
- Sunglasses and a hat
- Swimsuit and towel
- Light cover-up or change of clothes
- ID for the primary guest
- Phone and portable charger
- Your favorite snacks and drinks (unless you’ve added catering)
- Waterproof case or dry bag
- Water shoes or sandals (if anchoring at a sandbar)
- Any decorations or party favors (if celebrating)
Optional add-ons like paddleboards, snorkel gear, or champagne upgrades can be added during booking or requested through your captain.
What’s Already Included
Every BoatSitterUS experience includes:
- A captain (if selected)
- Fully inspected vessel with safety equipment
- Bluetooth sound system
- Ice-filled cooler
- Onboard seating with shade
- Swim ladder or access to water toys (varies by boat)
- Life jackets for all passengers
Higher-tier boats may include onboard bathrooms, sleeping cabins, upgraded sound systems, or floating mats. Details for each boat are listed on the booking page.
What to Leave Behind
To protect your safety and the boat, we ask that guests avoid:
- Glass bottles
- Red wine or staining liquids
- Spray sunscreens (which can damage seating)
- Confetti, glitter, or loose décor
- Overloaded coolers (space is limited on smaller boats)
